Hold Open Mode: Linked to the buildings fire detection system, this mode can be used safely and legally to hold open doors throughout a building to aid flow of traffic and provide barrier free access. But upon fire alarm operation releases the door automatically allowing it to close preventing the spread of smoke and flames.

Swing Free Mode: The swing free operation allows the door to operate as if no closing mechanism was fitted by providing virtually no opening resistance, allowing the door to be held open at any angle. In the event of the fire alarm being activated the door closer will shut the door automatically preventing the spread of smoke and flames.
